Arizona selected to deploy the first Talent Pipeline Management Upskill Academy to 20 business organizations from across the state
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation today announced the launch of the first Talent Pipeline Management™ (TPM) Upskill Academy, an expansion of the TPM Academy™. The TPM Upskill Academy, developed with grant support from Walmart as part of its Retail Opportunity Initiative, will build on existing TPM resources to support employers in improving the skills of incumbent employees and preparing them for success in new and changing roles. Because employer training needs vary, the TPM Upskill Academy presents a customizable framework for employers to create solutions that directly address the challenges they face in building high-performing talent pipelines.
The Greater Phoenix Chamber Foundation in Phoenix, Arizona has been selected to deploy the first regional TPM Upskill Academy to 20 executives representing business-led organizations from across the state. Participants will learn about and implement talent supply chain solutions, interact with close to 200 TPM Academy graduates, and access the TPM web portal, which activates six TPM strategies to streamline data collection and visualization.
The TPM Academy combines in-person and web-based trainings for state and local chambers, business associations, and economic development agency leaders to drive partnerships between employers and education and training providers based on industry need. Traditionally a training designed to walk business-led organizations through the process of implementing talent supply chain solutions for new employees, the U.S. Chamber Foundation worked with an advisory committee over three months to extend the training to include resources and processes for employers that want to support incumbent workers.
