The Resilience Reset: Ensuring America is Ready for the Next Disaster
Disasters are becoming more frequent and severe, yet our communities and systems remain unprepared. Resources are stretched thin, and the risks communities face often exceed their capacity to respond effectively and build resilience for the next disaster. These challenges demand a reset. To better prepare and recover from disasters and other global threats, we must streamline our national approach—making it faster, more proactive, and risk-oriented. Stronger partnerships across sectors are essential to building lasting resilience.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation will host its 2025 Building Resilience Conference on May 6-7, 2025, in Washington, D.C. This year's conference, themed "The Resilience Reset," will bring together leaders to shape a more resilient nation that can effectively navigate crises and overcome the urgent challenges posed by disasters.
