In response to the growing number of natural disasters and complex crises around the world, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation established the Resilience Operations Center of the Americas (ROCA) to help communities and businesses across the region recover and resume operations as quickly as possible.

ROCA's mission is to connect businesses throughout North and South America, fostering a network that can respond cohesively to crises that impact communities and commerce alike. By facilitating a consistent channel of communication, ROCA aims to streamline the flow of information and resources, ensuring business continuity and effective humanitarian assistance during disasters.

ROCA is designed to:

  • Connect people and organizations with data critical to disaster response, such as areas most impacted, relief items that are needed, industries that have been affected, and more.
  • Support smarter decision making during disasters and crises by facilitating cross-sector collaboration, improving operational efficiency, and enabling resource sharing to support those in need.
  • Promote greater unity among businesses, governments, and NGOs to advance humanitarian assistance through optimizing core strengths among partners.

Data Deep Dive

Developed in partnership with Esri, this ROCA platform allows businesses, governments, and NGOs to view historical natural hazards and up-to-date business information to make decisions for coordination activities in impacted areas.
