The leadership of the business community has never been more important than in times of crisis. The COVID-19 pandemic is a testament to the dedication of the private sector in helping address the toughest challenges we face in society. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation has been tracking the contributions from businesses of all sizes and sectors that are helping combat the coronavirus. Below is a collection of those stories.

Business and Worker Relief

Aldi is rewarding all of its store and distribution staff with a 10% pay increase for their hard work during the coronavirus pandemic. Read more.

Sperry is donating more than 3,000 pairs of shoes to the Two Ten Footwear Foundation in response to the coronavirus crisis. The donated shoes will be converted to cash, with the proceeds given to footwear employees who are facing hardships. Read more

Through the Kevin Love Foundation, the Cleveland Cavaliers player donated $100,000 to support the team’s arena support staff. Read more

U.S. Bank has launched a Premium Pay Program that will provide critical front-line employees with a temporary 20% hourly wage increase. Read more

Lowe's announced a $25 million commitment in support of frontline medical professionals, vulnerable communities, and Lowe's employees, including $3 million in support of its associates; and $3 million to help local small businesses, with a focus on the skilled trades, continue to operate. Lockheed Martin has activated a $6.5 million employee disaster relief fund to assist Lockheed Martin employees and retirees impacted with COVID-19. Read more

PepsiCo is providing enhanced benefits to all U.S. employees and additional compensation for more than 90,000 frontline employees to maintain the supply of food and beverage during this time. Read more

Fifth Third Bank made an $8.75 million philanthropic commitment to help address the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, and meet the immediate and long-term needs of the communities served by Fifth Third Bank. The commitments includes $5.5 million for funds to support long-term economic sustainability, such as money to support small businesses, affordable housing and homeownership, and economic development. For the vast majority of small businesses worldwide, eBay is deferring payment for certain selling fees for 30 days. The company also launched a Small Business hub, which highlights eBay's small business sellers who remain 'open for business’ in order to showcase their inventory. Read more

Bedrock, a development company in Detroit, unveiled a rescue package that states the company won’t collect rent and fees from dozens of small businesses over the next three months. Read more

Target is giving a $2 an hour wage increase to its 300,000-plus workers who are working to meet increased demands. The retailer has also begun offering workers who are pregnant, 65 years old or older, or who have underlying health risks, access to paid leave for up to 30 days. Additionally, Target and the Target Foundation will be giving $1 million toward the Target Team Member Giving Fund to assist team members who are most impacted. Read more.

Lockheed Martin will advance more than $50 million to small- and medium-sized business partners in its supply chain to ensure they have the financial means to continue to operate, sustain jobs, and support the economy. Read more. 

Grubhub is suspending commission fees for impacted independent restaurants of up to $100 million and has launched the Grubhub Community Relief Fund to support local restaurants and drivers impacted by COVID-19. Read more. 

Google has announced a new $800+ million commitment to support small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), health organizations and governments, and health workers on the frontline of this global pandemic. Read more. 

Uber is supporting restaurants impacted by coronavirus by driving demand to small businesses with $0 delivery fees for orders from independent restaurants and offering daily (vs weekly) payouts. Read more

Amazon has created a $5 million Neighborhood Small Business Relief Fund to provide cash grants to small businesses in the Seattle area that are struggling during the coronavirus outbreak. Read more

Miller Lite has announced the donation of $1 million dollars to the United States Bartenders Guild (USBG) National Charity Foundation, who is helping bartenders during this pandemic. Read more. 

Kabbage launched www.helpsmallbusiness.com to support small businesses financially impacted by COVID-19. The initiative is a call-to-action across the U.S., enabling anyone to purchase an online gift certificate from participating small businesses to provide them with crucial financial support. Ally Financial launched a comprehensive set of financial support initiatives to help the people and communities it serves to withstand the extraordinary pressures triggered by the COVID-19 health crisis and be better positioned to recover quickly from its effects. Learn more. 

Netflix has created a $100 million relief fund to help members of the creative community who have been left unemployed and without a way to earn an income during the coronavirus crisis. Read more.

JPMorgan Chase launched a $50 million fund in humanitarian aid and small business grants to help communities recover from the novel coronavirus outbreak. Read more.

Citizens Bank has committed $5 million in support of communities and businesses impacted by the coronavirus. Their Community Support Relief program will provide funding in support of coronavirus-related efforts in regions where the bank operates — including Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island — while its Small Business Relief and Recovery program will provide funding and other assistance in the coming months to small businesses in those states. Yelp is providing $25 million in coronavirus relief for independent restaurant and nightlife businesses in the form of free advertising, products, and services. Read more.


Medical Supplies and Public Health Response

United Technologies donated 90,000 pieces of personal protective equipment to FEMA, and announced that they will begin to manufacture face shields. Read more.

FedEx Express launched a special operation to help the federal government quickly move coronavirus test specimens from over 50 remote drive-thru testing centers across 12 states. Read more.

Based in the small town of Waxahachie, Texas, Sea-Long Medical Systems is building helmet-style ventilation devices. The owner has offered to share his designs with any other companies that can mass produce this life-saving device. Read more.

Bodysphere Inc developed a test that can detect the coronavirus in nearly two minutes. Read more

Walmart Inc. will start taking temperatures of U.S. store workers at the start of each shift and offering masks for those employees who wish to wear them. Read more.

Johnson & Johnson is making progress on a vaccine to prevent COVID-19 that could be ready in early 2021. Read more.

UPS is working with global companies to transport testing kits, personal protection equipment (PPE) and medical devices needed in support of public safety and to speed diagnosis and therapy for COVID-19. Read more.

Richard Branson’s California-based rocket company Virgin Orbit partnered with medical researchers and developed a ventilator device that the company plans to mass produce and send to hospitals around the U.S. to fight the coronavirus. Read more.

Premium footwear maker Faryl Robin is donating 2,000 masks per week to New York City and surrounding tri-state area hospitals. Read more

The Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation has started producing 250,000 masks and 25,000 isolation gowns with its manufacturing partners in the U.S. Read more

Known for its headbands, Cincinnati-based Sweaty Bands company is creating fashionable masks in response to the new coronavirus pandemic. Read more

Pennsylvania-based Brookville Glove adjusts its production line to make protective face masks for health care workers amid the nationwide shortage of the N-95 masks. Read more

Altress, a small dressmaking company in New York City, pivoted their business to make 1,000 surgical masks for a local hospital in need. Read more

San Jose-based Bloom Energy is refurbishing the state’s supply of 200 older ventilators to help alleviate the state’s critical shortage of ventilators. Read more

Kentucky-based manufacturing company Bullard has ramped up production of face shields for healthcare workers and other highly sought after equipment. Read more

Lexington Brewing & Distilling Co., Old Forester, Woodford Reserve, Rabbit Hole Distillery, and Wilderness Trail Distillery are donating hand sanitizer to medical and municipal groups in need. Read more

REEF Technology is partnering with other parking industry leaders LAZ, ABM, and SP+ to give access to 20,000 parking sites for COVID testing, and more than 200,000 staff. Read more

UnitedHealthcare is providing people and families expanded access to testing and medical care, medication, telehealth services and virtual care. Read more

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. announced the donation of more than 6 million doses of hydroxychloroquine sulfate tablets through wholesalers to hospitals across the U.S. to meet the urgent demand for the medicine as an investigational target to treat COVID-19. Read more

P&G has committed in-kind product and monetary donations collectively valued at more than US $15 million around the globe to provide hygiene education and vital medical equipment and products. Read more

Carnival Cruise Line has offered its ships as temporary floating hospitals to authorities around the world who are struggling to respond to the coronavirus pandemic. Read more

Big Storm Brewing based in Clearwater, FL is making hand sanitizer to help hospitals and first responders, while also keeping its staff employed. Read more

Skechers has donated 4,000 N95 respirator masks to health professionals in the South Bay area of Southern California. Read more

Chaco, a division of Wolverine World Wide, is tapping its Michigan-based factory, typically used to repair and customize the brand’s sandals, to produce face masks and other critical equipment. Read more

Genesco Inc. and its Journeys retail division have donated 25,000 square feet of its Journeys distribution center in Lebanon, Tenn. to help the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) with the area’s COVID-19 emergency response. The facility will help TEMA with temporary storage space for supplies. Read more

Nordstrom is teaming up with Kaas Tailored to have members of its alterations teams in Washington, Oregon, Texas and California sew more than 100,000 masks that will be given back to Kaas for sanitization and distributed to Providence Health & Services. Read more

Barco, a producer of medical apparel for brands including Skechers, will donate 10,000 scrubs per month for the duration of the pandemic to health-care professionals. Read more

Lucky Brand is donating denim yardage as well as $5,000 to the Suay Sew Shop to go towards producing 5,000 masks for pharmacies, grocery stores and delivery service workers. The brand also ordered for 2,300 N95 masks from a facility in China to be distributed to local partners and hospitals. Read more

The PwC Charitable Foundation announced grants totaling $2.85 million in support of populations most impacted by COVID-19, including $500,000 to Direct Relief. Read more

Lowe's announced a $25 million commitment in support of frontline medical professionals, vulnerable communities, and Lowe's employees, including $10 million in donations of protective gear to hospitals nationwide; and $500,000 to the American Red Cross in support of its blood supply operations. The Clorox Company Foundation announced grants totaling $5 million in support of frontline healthcare workers and caregivers. The $5 million commitment includes $3 million to Direct Relief; $1 million to the CDC Foundation; and $1 million to the American Red Cross. Read more

Eli Lilly and Company is offering drive-through testing for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, to Indianapolis area health care workers as a service to the community and in an effort to protect health care providers working on the front lines during this epidemic. Read more

Walmart and the Walmart Foundation have committed $25 million to support organizations on the front lines responding to the global COVID-19 pandemic, which includes $5 million to support global efforts to help countries prevent, detect and manage the coronavirus. Certain Walmart locations will also be turning parts of select parking lots into coronavirus-testing stations. Read more

Lyft is partnering with body care company EO Products to distribute more than 200,000 bottles of hand sanitizer and other cleaning supplies to drivers, at no cost to them. Read more

Pernod Ricard-Hiram Walker, a Fort Smith manufacturer that blends and packages spirits like Malibu Rum and Blake Shelton’s Smithworks Vodka, began making hand sanitizer for the Federal Emergency Management Administration to aid in the coronavirus fight. Read more

Novartis committed to donate up to 130 million doses of generic hydroxychloroquine to support the global COVID-19 pandemic response. Read more

Neiman Marcus Group is teaming up with Jo-Ann Fabrics to make personal protective equipment (PPE) for medical workers, such as masks, gowns and scrubs. Read more

American Airlines is utilizing its currently grounded passenger aircraft to move cargo, delivering medicine and e-commerce goods to protect the public health and keep the global economy moving during this time of need. Read more. 

Illinois-based medical supplies manufacturer Medline has quickly ramped up production. To meet the need to quickly deliver the increased production, the company’s owners have begun to use their personal funds to air freight supplies from their factories. Read more. 

Gap Inc. has announced that it will use its factory resources to make personal protective equipment for healthcare workers. Read more. 

Kitsbow, a high-end cycling apparel company, is producing 26,000 face masks and face shields. Read more. 

Minnesota-based metal fabricator Wyoming Machine is ramping up production of a precision piece used in the assembly of ventilators needed for patients dealing with severe cases of the respiratory disease in hospitals. Read more. 

Honeywell is adding 500 new jobs to increase manufacturing operations of N95 face masks. Read more.

Canada Goose announced that it will use the brand’s Toronto and Winnipeg facilities to produce scrubs and gowns for hospitals across Canada — free of charge. Learn more. 

New Balance is producing prototypes for face masks in their Lawrence, Mass. manufacturing facility and hope to scale production to other New England factories soon. Read more. 

SoftBank has donated 1.4million N-95 face masks to protect hospital staff in the state of New York. See the announcement.  

Estee Lauder has pledged 10,000 bottles of hand sanitizer a week to New York state. Read more. 

Hyundai’s Hope On Wheels will make a $200,000 donation to a series of hospitals to support Drive-Thru Testing Centers. Read more. 

FedEx’s “Delivering for Good” initiative is shipping 250,000 N95 masks and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to as many as 1,000 community health centers and free clinics in all 50 U.S. states that are playing a critical frontline role as Covid-19 spreads. Read more. 

United's airplanes have been repurposed to deliver vital medical supplies and goods to some of the places that need it most. They have also dedicated planes as charter cargo flights to transfer freight to and from U.S. locations as well as to key international business locations. Read more

Fanatics has suspended production on their baseball uniforms and is instead using the polyester mesh fabric to make masks and gowns for hospitals in Pennsylvania and nearby states. Read more

All relief loads transporting critical goods booked on the shipper platform in the US will be hauled with zero profit pricing by Uber Freight, while the current FMCSA hours-of-service suspension is in place. Read more

Dyson has designed a new ventilator, the “CoVent,” which it will be producing in order to help treat coronavirus patients. The company plans to produce 15,000 ventilators. Read more. 

Jo-Ann Fabrics and Crafts stores are mobilizing customers to pitch in with coronavirus relief by distributing free kits to sew face masks and gowns for hospitals and healthcare facilities while personal protective equipment is in alarmingly short supply. Read more. 

Pennsylvania-based family-owned distillery Eight Oaks Farm Distillery is converting its operation into a production line for hand sanitizers and distributing the bottles to charities and farmers’ markets. Read more

CVS Health is waiving charges for home delivery of prescription medications and telemedicine visits. Read more

Kaas Tailored, a furniture manufacturer based in Mukilteo, Washington, is switching from making couches to surgical masks to help their local hospitals. Read more.

Hanes is retrofitting factories and working with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to make 1.5 million N95 masks weekly for health care workers on the front line of fighting the disease. Read more. 

Lysol has donated $2 million to the CDC Foundation’s campaign, “All of Us: Combat Coronavirus,” to bolster the public health response to the crisis. Read more. 

Abbott has launched a test that can detect COVID-19 in as little as five minutes. Because of its small size, the test can be used in more non-traditional places. The company is ramping up production to deliver 50,000 tests per day. Read more.

HP has sent more than 1,000 3D-printed parts to local hospitals. The company is also coordinating with government, health, and industry agencies in numerous countries to ensure a synchronized and effective approach. HP is validating and producing applications such as hands-free door openers, mask adjusters, and face shields. Read more.

3M Co. is ramping up production worldwide to arm healthcare workers with the tools to fight COVID-19. Since the coronavirus outbreak, the company has doubled its global output of N95 respirators to an annual rate of over 1.1 billion per year, or nearly 100 million per month. They are also maximizing production of hand sanitizers, disinfectants, and filtration solutions. Read more.

Anheuser-Busch will use its supply and logistics network to begin producing and distributing bottles of hand sanitizer to accommodate the growing need across the U.S. Read more.

Bacardi is helping supply the ethanol required to produce hand sanitizer. Over half a million of the 10-ounce hand sanitizer units produced in partnership with Bacardi will be donated to local communities. Read more.


First Responder Support

Keds is honoring women working on the frontline to fight the COVID-19 infection with a free pair of shoes. Read more

Huckberry is giving away 250 pairs of free boots to those on the front lines, including health-care workers and EMTs as well as police officers, firefighters, mail carriers and grocers. Read more

Aerosoles is donating free shoes to healthcare and essential workers on the frontlines of the coronavirus crisis. Read more

Boston-born footwear company OOFOS is donating over 1,000 pairs of its shoes to medical professionals and nurses across the U.S. Read more

Footwear brand Keen will donate 100,000 pairs of shoes, valued at approximately $10 million, to those in need, in particular front-line workers and families fighting the virus at home. Read more

Hertz is offering medical workers and first responders volunteering in New York free car rentals to transport them to work. Read more. 

JetBlue is giving free flights to healthcare workers who need to get to New York to help. Learn more. 

Uber Eats is committing 300,000 free meals to first responders and healthcare workers. Read more

Uber Health is helping provide transportation for front-line health care workers, both to and from patients’ homes, as well as between healthcare facilities. Read more about their response. 

TwentyTables, a socially conscious app that helps consumers find affordable meals from nearby restaurants, is working to provide first responders, hospital workers, medical staff and everyone who needs a meal in Washington, D.C. Read more. 

Verizon has committed $10 million to nonprofits that are supporting students and first responder healthcare workers. Read more.

New York City's Four Seasons Hotel is providing free lodging to doctors, nurses & medical personnel fighting coronavirus. Read more.

Starbucks is offering free coffee nationwide to first responders and frontline workers dealing with the coronavirus pandemic. Read more.


Community Support

Tapestry, the parent company to Coach, Kate Spade and Stuart Weitzman, is donating 15,000 face masks to hospitals across the U.S., U.K. and Spain, with additional masks to be delivered in April. The company will match employee donations in support of COVID-19 causes, up to $10,000 per employee. Read more

Lyft is donating tens of thousands of free rides to people in need as the coronavirus pandemic continues to spread throughout the country. Read more.

Rothy’s is donating $20,000 to Direct Relief, with money going towards providing protective masks, exam gloves and isolation gowns to health-care organizations with confirmed cases. Read more

The NBA and the NBA Players Association will make a series of coronavirus relief-related donations as part of the NBA Together $50 million commitment, which includes $2 million to support ongoing relief efforts both globally and locally. Read more

The Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation has committed $10 million to support health care workers, cancer patients who are particularly vulnerable, the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund, and the Council of Fashion Designers of America/Vogue Fashion Fund. Read more

Bank of America is committing $100 million to support local communities in helping increase medical response capacity, address food insecurity, increase access to learning as a result of school closures, and provide support to the world’s most vulnerable populations. Read more

Twilio is donating a total of $1.5 million to help fund organizations driving the medical response to COVID-19 and serving low-income, at-risk populations who will be severely impacted by the virus. Read more

Nike is donating $15 million toward the effort to stop the spread of coronavirus COVID-19 and help people impacted by the outbreak across the world. Read more

Exelon and its family of companies donated $1.15 million to local and national relief organizations. To further assist families and businesses experiencing financial stress, all Exelon utilities and Constellation have suspended service disconnections and are waiving new late payments until at least May 1. Entergy Corporation has created the Entergy COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund and seeded it with a $700,000 contribution from the Entergy Charitable Foundation. The fund will partner with United Ways and nonprofits in communities served by Entergy to provide support to low income families, the elderly and the disabled who have been impacted by COVID-19. Altria Group, Inc. has committed $1 million to support immediate local coronavirus relief efforts in its headquarters community of Richmond, VA, and its other manufacturing and grower communities. Read more

Kenneth Cole will donate 20% of its net sales from kennethcole.com to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. Read more

U.S. Bank has committed $30 million to its communities to help with immediate and long-term COVID-19 relief efforts. Read more

The PwC Charitable Foundation announced grants totaling $2.85 million in support of populations most impacted by COVID-19, including $1.5 million to address specific challenges faced by PwC communities. Read more

Lowe's announced a $25 million commitment in support of frontline medical professionals, vulnerable communities, and Lowe's employees, including $4.5 million to be allocated to Lowe's stores in the United States and Canada to donate products needed in their communities; and $1.5 million to the COVID-19 Response Fund and other nonprofits in greater Charlotte, North Carolina, where Lowe's is headquartered. Dow has committed $2 million for immediate support of impacts caused by COVID-19. This includes donations to the COVID-19 Solidarity Fund, Direct Relief, and local and regional nonprofits in Dow communities around the globe. They have also assigned $1 million to build community resilience in the recovery phase. Read more

The H&M Foundation donated $500,000 to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund to help countries — especially those with weak health systems — fight the global pandemic. Read more

Utility company PG&E, which provides gas and electricity across Northern California, announced it would not shut off services because of nonpayment due to the coronavirus. Read more

Lockheed Martin will donate $10 million to nonprofit organizations involved in COVID-19 related relief and assistance, with emphasis on veterans and military families. Read more

To help meet the critical needs resulting from the global COVID-19 pandemic, Walmart and the Walmart Foundation have committed $25 million to support organizations on the front lines responding to the outbreak. The commitment includes $10 million to support efforts in local communities in the United States and international markets. Read more

National Grid is directing $500,000 to support customers affected by the health impacts, financial hardships and disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The funding will provide immediate relief to families and individuals in need and bolster efforts by local organizations to assist communities across Massachusetts, New York, and Rhode Island. Wells Fargo is suspending residential property foreclosure sales, evictions and involuntary automobile repossessions due to the coronavirus outbreak. Additionally, the Wells Fargo Foundation will increase its charitable donations to $175 million to help address food, shelter, small business and housing stability, as well as to provide help to public health organizations. Amgen and the Amgen Foundation announced an initial commitment of up to $12.5 million to support emergency response efforts in Amgen's U.S. and international communities, patient-focused organizations that are mounting their own response efforts, and international relief efforts by Direct Relief and International Medical Corps. Amazon is hiring an additional 100,000 employees and raising pay by $2 an hour for warehouse and delivery employees as millions of people turn to online deliveries at an unprecedented pace and Americans continue to reorient their lives to limit the spread of the new coronavirus. Read more. 

The San Francisco-based Delta Dental Community Care Foundation has committed $5 million for COVID-19-related efforts across its fifteen-state footprint, including $3.5 million to federally qualified health centers to expand access to oral care; $1 million to nonprofits experiencing sharp increases in their expenses and/or budget shortfalls as a result of the virus; and $500,000 in disaster response funding to California organizations working to assist seniors, individuals experiencing food insecurity, and homeless and homebound individuals. Target and the Target Foundation will be giving $9 million to expand relief and assistance to local, national, and global organizations responding to the pandemic. Read more

PepsiCo announced it will hire 6,000 new, full-time, full-benefit frontline employees across the U.S. in the coming months. Read more

Brown-Forman is giving a total of $1 million to COVID-19 response funds. As part of that fund, eligible households and community organizations could get $1,000 to help cover unexpected rental, childcare, transportation, food, utility and pharmaceutical expenses. Read more

Duke Energy is waiving late payment fees, fees for returned payments, and fees for credit and debit card payments beginning March 21 until the national state of emergency is lifted. The company is also donating $1.3 million to health and human services and hunger relief efforts in the seven states it serves. Read more

Walmart is hiring 150,000 U.S. hourly workers for its stores and distribution centers as online orders surge. Read more.

Amazon.com Inc. is hiring an additional 100,000 employees in the U.S. as millions turn to online deliveries to limit the spread of the new coronavirus. Read more.


Education Resources

Amazon-owned Audible is currently making hundreds of their audiobooks available to the public for free during this unprecedented crisis. Read more

CITGO Petroleum Corporation, in partnership with the Harris County Sheriff's Office, donated 150 Kindle tablets to the Houston and Alief Independent School Districts to help support low-income students' e-learning needs during the COVID-19 school closures and subsequent move to remote learning platforms. Pearson is offering a number of services for free, such as access to an e-book library for U.S. and U.K. higher education students already using Pearson courseware; free access to the Aida Calculus app until June; free on-demand webinars for higher education faculty, live webinars for K-12 parents and teachers; and more. Read more

Zoom is providing its videoconferencing tools to K-12 schools for free. This resource will help educate students and enable businesses to keep working during the coronavirus outbreak. Read more.

Google has announced a $10 million Distance Learning Fund to support organizations around the globe that help educators access the resources they need to provide high quality learning opportunities to children, particularly those from underserved communities. Read more.

AT&T is launching a Distance Learning and Family Connections Fund to give parents, students and teachers tools to facilitate at-home learning. The fund will also provide resources to connect with remote family and friends. Read more.

Discovery Education launched the Daily DE to help parents and guardians provide homebound students meaningful educational experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Daily DE provides a suite of no-cost activities and resources for students and families to help continue learning while schools are closed. Read more.

Adobe is allowing its educational customers to request free home access for students and teachers to its Creative Cloud suite of tools. Adobe has also made its web conferencing service, Adobe Connect, free for schools, businesses and government agencies. Read more.

Scholastic has launched a ‘Learn at Home’ website that has free daily courses for students from Pre-kindergarten to grades 6 and higher. Read more.


Food Insecurity

The PwC Charitable Foundation announced grants totaling $2.85 million in support of populations most impacted by COVID-19, including $500,000 to Feeding America's COVID-19 Response Fund for the distribution of emergency food boxes to low-income seniors, families, and children who no longer have access to school meals. Carlisle, Pa.-based The Giant Company is donating a total of $250,000 to four local hunger relief organizations, including the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, Philabundance, Maryland Food Bank and Meals on Wheels Pennsylvania. Read more

Walmart and the Walmart Foundation have committed $25 million to support organizations on the front lines responding to the outbreak, including $10 million to support food banks, school meal programs, and organizations that provide access to food for underserved populations. Read more

The Kroger Co. Zero Hunger | Zero Waste Foundation announced a $3 million commitment to rapidly deploy hunger-relief resources to communities disproportionately impacted by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The $3 million commitment will be equally distributed between the foundation's nonprofit partners, Feeding America and No Kid Hungry. Read more

Uber is partnering with school districts to offer a discount or trips taken to or from the school lunch pick up locations to ensure students can continue to access free meals (riders under 18 must be accompanied by an adult). Read more

KFC has partnered with the nonprofit Blessings in a Backpack to help provide weekend meals to kids who might otherwise go hungry, donating $400,000 to go directly to providing prepackaged meals for school children. Read more.

AT&T has suspended broadband data caps and overage fees for home internet customers. Read more. 

T-Mobile is removing smartphone data caps for all customers, giving 20GB of additional mobile hotspot data, increasing data for schools in its EmpowerED program, and making it free to call severely impacted countries. Read more. 

Comcast announced that low-income families who live in a Comcast service area can get 60 days of complimentary Internet Essentials service, which is normally $9.95 a month. Read more.

IBM is collaborating with the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, the U.S. Department of Energy, and many others to help launch the COVID-19 High Performance Computing Consortium.
