
Melissa Mendizabal

Melissa Mendizabal is the innovation manager on the Incubator Team at the U.S. Chamber Foundation. She spearheads a diverse portfolio of projects focused on the intersection of democracy, capitalism, and global threats. In her role, Melissa collaborates with a diverse range of experts to drive innovation and develop solutions to pressing global issues, providing extensive research and strategic direction in leading and executing various projects.
Melissa leads the U.S. Chamber Foundation's Judicial Fellowship Program, a two-week intensive fellowship for international judges aimed at strengthening rule of law on a global scale by building a cadre of rule of law leaders. She also drives forward the U.S. Chamber Foundation's global threats work by leading initiatives that foster deep dialogue and action on corporate security and geopolitical risks.
Melissa joined the Foundation in August 2023. Prior to joining the Foundation, Melissa served as a science teacher and science director with Teach for America. Melissa graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science. She is also a certified teacher through Rutgers Graduate School of Education.
