Mary Bounds is the senior manager of philanthropy at the U.S. Chamber Foundation. In this role, she leads fundraising initiatives, supports development strategy, and builds relationships with individual and private foundation donors. 

Prior to joining the Chamber Foundation, Mary led major gift underwriting and individual giving for The Washington Ballet in Washington, D.C., and advanced a capital campaign for Round House Theatre in Bethesda, Maryland. She has a decade of nonprofit fundraising experience working in individual and family philanthropy, securing corporate sponsorships, building membership programs, and executing successful special events. 

She holds a bachelor’s degree from McDaniel College and a Master of Public Administration from NC State University. She is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), and a graduate of Leadership Montgomery.
