Jessica Schrank is the Director of Civics@Work at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation.

Jessica’s responsibilities include leading the Civics@Work portfolio, a nonpartisan initiative that gives employers the tools and resources they need to elevate civics knowledge, skills, and participation among employees. Specifically, she manages the Civics@Work projects related to Nonpartisan Election Poll Workers, Juror Education, and Civics Education at Work.  

Previously, Jessica served on Microsoft’s Democracy Forward team, aimed at preserving and protecting democracies worldwide. There, she helped plan civic engagement activities amongst employees and consumers, including voter registration efforts, roundtable events, and Civics at Work-related efforts. Before that, she worked for the City of Cambridge, MA, helping to implement new technology and improve internal and resident-facing processes. She’s also worked as the first Innovation and Strategy Advisor to the City Manager for the City of Chelsea, MA, where she led a number of technology implementation projects. Previously, she worked as a researcher in India, Colombia, Uganda, and Guatemala, focusing on women’s access to education and health services.

Jessica earned her Master in Public Policy (MPP) degree from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and her Bachelor’s degree in History and Sociology from the College of William & Mary. She resides in Gaithersburg, MD with her husband, son, and labradoodle.
